Farm Garden

Sustainable practices

Our expansive market garden is central to the operations of the PepperGreen Farm precinct. Using sustainable gardening practices including mulching, recycling and compost making, we aim to create a restorative and educational experience for visitors.

Seasonal produce to take home

Stroll along our landscaped paths between beds of cultivated herbs and vegetables. Let us help you pick and weigh seasonal produce of your choice to take home. Visit our garden nursery, where you can select from a range of potted herbs and plants including succulents; also veggie seedlings.

Proud of our history

During the 1880s the PepperGreen Farm precinct was developed as a large market garden, and with the exception of a period in the late 20th century, farms and commercial nurseries have been in operation here ever since. The market gardens, nearby Emu Point, and our on-site kiln now merge to create a historically significant site for Bendigo. Visitors can learn more on our Heritage Site Tours.

Acknowledgement of Country

PepperGreen Farm acknowledges the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation
and the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work.
